Valley of Flowers trek

The Valley of Flowers trek as the name itself suggests is all about the beauty and freshness of different varieties of flowers that grow in this region. However this valley, located at an altitude of 3858 meters above the mean sea level, does not have flora as its only specialty. You’ll find adorable wildlife too in this region along with the serendipity of Himalayan peaks all around all the time. The Asiatic black bear, snow leopard, musk deer, brown bear, red fox and blue sheep are some of the many wildlife species found here. Somewhere in the middle of the majestic Himalayan peaks lay the femininity of the variety of flora watched over by everyday rain showers happening in this region. The valley blooms in colors due to enough water received through the frequent rainfalls.

Rain showers are said to be an everyday phenomena in the Valley of Flowers. The region is gifted with all the weather conditions throughout the year but the true grace is seen only during the months of July, August and September. During early monsoons it’s as if the rain showers and sunshine compliment the vegetation there together and the valley blushes back. You’ll notice the valley changing colors by the end of September. As the flowers begin to shred and the leaves begin to dry up the Valley of Flowers turn into much of a valley of shades of brown. During this period the flora is minimal but the place looks equally serene as it did in its full bloom. This trek is a boon to every nature lover because of the diversity it offers to us.
